Seasick Steve's Hobo Dobro
Written by archtop girl on Wednesday, 06 January 2010

Seasick Steve: amiable raconteur with a great back-story, inspiration to undiscovered greying bluesmen everywhere, a dab hand with a bottleneck - and not bad at steering a car round a racetrack either, it seems. He turned up on Top Gear, of all the programmes, this week as their Star in a Reasonably Priced Car - taking a few circuits in a Chevy Lacetti - and whilst he was there, got caught on camera with a new addition to his motley collection of homemade, partially-strung, trashed and generally low-budget instruments. Made from Morris Minor hubcaps and a broomstick, he says. The hobo's Dobro? Check it out at the Top Gear website.
