A guitar fit for a lady

"It's made by Ian Chisholm of Ditchling and I'm very pleased with it. It's got Engelmann spruce on the front and it's got South American walnut on the back. Being a girl's guitar it's got a little bit of abalone around it. "The interesting thing about it is that it's got a wedge [shape]. It sits at a little bit at an angle so when you're looking down you can see a little bit more if you want to. Also, for a lady, it gives you a little bit more room for your bust.
"It's a mini jumbo and is the first guitar I've had made for me. Ian and I would discuss what I wanted: I have some crippled fingers as a horse trod on my hand, so I need a guitar that's very light to play, along with light strings.
"I loved the process of going along and talking about it...it's much better than buying handbags. I'm still getting used to it (I've only had it 10 days) but Ian said to take it back if I wanted any changes made. This is his 30th guitar and he also makes mandolins."
