Andy's bass came from Mac

"I got it from a legendary figure at The Jericho Tavern in Oxford called Mac. I used to play a terrible ‘heavy metal headstock’ type bass and it pained him whenever he saw it. One day he said to me ‘take this and pay for it later’, so I took it and paid for it over the course of a couple of years. It’s a Fender Precision bass. He told me it was 1971, which at the time was amazing (this was in 1991). It was considered to be a classic. I found out later it’s a 1976. It’s beautiful….the action is a little bit high but I’m scared to change it in case I messes it up."
